Global Encounters
Dear Friends,
We have an important announcement!

As you are probably aware, in 1997 CATDMC began as a small European incoming tour operator in Peru. We nurtured our company alongside the Peru travel renaissance of those years and steadily grew into a solid destination management partner for travel companies like yours. During the years that followed, and fueled by your interest, we expanded through the Latin American continent, working with a growing multi-cultural team of travel professionals. The evolution of the travel industry as a whole inspired us to venture into the Meetings & Incentives and Online Booking markets, as well as to create our own Itereo Travel System -- an ERP platform aimed at providing smoother connections in the Travel Value Chain. Today, we are pleased to inform you regarding our next step forward: CATDMC is now a part of what we have structured to become Global Encounters; an all-inclusive travel solutions provider with offices across Latin America. We want to thank you all for your support and enthusiasm during the past years. Without you we wouldn’t have managed to get where we are today.

Please visit our new Global Encounters website and also have a look at our new CATDMC website .

Kind Regards,

Karin Deen and Bart de Graaf

Kusikay theater begins second season
T’ikariy to Provide Exclusive Activities Throughout Peru

Kusikay theater begins second season Cusco, Peru

Cusco, Peru. The Kusikay Theater is presenting its second season, yet another ‘must-see’ for visitors to Cusco. Kusikay specializes in creating plays that integrate elements from the theater, circus, dance, music and live folklore, presenting outstanding pieces that allow the audience to get in touch with ancient Peruvian culture.

Kusikay’s second season presents the production of a fabulous story, Paukartanpu, inspired by the traditional feast of the Virgen del Carmen or Mamacha Carmen, which takes place every year from the 15th to the 19th of July in the province of Paucartambo, Cusco.

Audiences will discover in this play the encounter of two cultures and the religious syncretism between the Andean and the Spanish, the merging of these two worlds that has resulted in a mestizo Peru, rich in traditions. Kusikay places the music in this context and enriches the production with novel and traditional themes, fusing ancient and modern instruments.

Kusikay invites you to use your imagination through the characters, music and settings, which will amaze and entertain you using the humor and fantasy of a living culture. Get closer to the spirit of the Andes with this wonderful production, Paukartanpu, a show that will be a great complement to your trip to Peru.
